Defined, Jam is:

When Shaun White drops in on the pipe, he rips, he jams.

When the Universe O – Line of Sockeye receives the pull, they take the field, they see their dream, they execute, they Jam.

When the Celtics take the court; Rondo, Piece, Garnett, Allen, O’Neil… they ball, they Jam.

When UNI’s O-line takes the field, Hubbard, Levine, Pagel, Ross, Ramuthan, Dennis, Beavers, they turn it on, they Jam….

When Kelly Slater drops in on toe side on the face, he rips, he Jams.

Have you ever gone to throw with a buddy... you start out just tossing… then one person starts to run, then the other starts to run. Before you know it you are throwing lead passes, snatching discs from the sky, ripping backhands, sprinting all out; you are Jamming. Once you tucker out you give your buddy a bum smack…

When you go to throw and you feel like Jammin, make sure you call up the buddy who you know also has intensions Jam.

For me, that buddy is Alex Jacoski.

Every time we throw, we Jam.   If I am being lazy, he gets mad.

He will call me out either by saying “bro, stop sucking”, throwing a bullet blade aimed at my groin or by hucking it 80 yards and making me chase it down. I love throwing with AJ because he loves to Jam and he pushes me to Jam harder. 

He makes me better.

Next time you go to throw with a buddy, up the ante, turn a throw sess into a Jam sess.

It’s the beauty of Ultimate, if you want to go, you go, you turn it on, you Jam, you have more fun than the other guys, you make the play.

You only live once man, freaking Jam.
